STEM Story: Techtacular

Updated: Jul 11, 2020

We are Techtacular, a student-run volunteer organization that hosts free technology-based events for children to equip the next generation with the tools to succeed in an increasingly digitized world. We are committed to familiarizing kids with the many exciting aspects of technology. Our mission is to make technology accessible to kids of all backgrounds through free classes and events. We aim to get kids interested and involved in technology by presenting an easy to understand and fun curriculum tailored to the interests of each different age group. We also provide leadership and volunteer opportunities to aspiring high school students.

Techtacular was founded to combat the "digital divide", or the fact that students from low socioeconomic backgrounds do not have the same resources and technology as other students, hindering their success. Through Techtacular's free programs at various public libraries, students with little to no experience are able to develop a passion for working with technology.
