This is my STEM story. I knew from 3rd grade I wanted to be a scientist but I didn’t know what kind until junior year. I started reading theoretical physics books in sophomore year and so I knew stuff like quantum mechanics and general relativity really interested me. I finally decided it was space that really was my passion when I found myself always looking up towards the night sky and gravitating towards astrophysics books. Now I’m planning on going to UCF for a physics degree with a specialization in astronomy, and after I get my bachelors I’m going to pursue a PhD in astrophysics. This is my story.
